The Tempest
In Shakespeare's final play, the magician Prospero enacts his revenge on the Neapolitan nobility that robbed him of his dukedom, and banished him to this enchanted but desolate isle with his young daughter Miranda.

This was possibly the first stage set made from papier maché. It's amazing what can be done with almost no money, and a lot of imagination. This was also my first foray into the world of LED lighting, and I took great advantage of the advanced color-mixing ability to heighten the sense of magic on the island, especially to reflect Prospero's emotional state, while using conventional instruments for general and dramatic lighting.
